Recommended browsers for using the Brightspace, Stark State College’s Learning Management System (LMS) are Chrome, Edge, or Firefox.
Please do the following to login to Brightspace.
- Navigate to https://ess.starkstate.edu.
- Type your SSC email address.
- SSC email addresses are first initial, last name, birth month and day, followed by @starkstate.net.
Example: John M. Doe, birthdate June 2nd.
Email address is: jdoe0602@starkstate.net.
- SSC email addresses are first initial, last name, birth month and day, followed by @starkstate.net.
- Enter your password. Password protocol for students is the following: first, middle, last initial followed by a period, then the first 6 digits of your Social Security number. If the College does not have your middle initial on record or you don’t have a middle name, use the letter “x.”
Example: John M. Doe, SS#: 123-45-6789
Password: jmd.123456
- Click the Sign in button to enter Brightspace.
