I can’t open my course. It says I need to pass my orientation. What do I do?
Succeeding Online is Stark State College’s required online orientation class. This class differs greatly from the College’s general orientation. The focus for Succeeding Online is to help student navigate Brightspace, the College’s Learning Management System (LMS). The majority of classes taught at Stark State College use Brightspace in some way. In addition to the orientation, the Brightspace link on this blog contains articles that will help you manage most tasks that you would complete in Brightspace.
Students taking a Web 2, 3, or 4 course MUST complete the orientation. You can find the orientation by going to ess.starkstate.edu.
You must complete Succeeding Online – Required Orientation course before you take your FIRST web course (W2, W3, W4). You WILL NOT have access to the course until this is completed.
